What is a Broadband Connection?
Before we start talking about broadband connection first we clear “What is Broadband?”.
What is the definition of Broadband?
“Broadband” is the transmission of wide and high bandwidth data over high-speed internet connectivity.
“According to FCC Broadband is a minimum 25 Mbps download speed and minimum 3 Mbps upload speed. And anybody can access via different ways like DSL (Digital Subscriber Line), Fiber optics, wireless (Or Using router), Cable and Satellite.”–FCC
As mentioned above day by day the usage of broadband is increasing like the speed of light because it provides high bandwidth and high internet speed including download and upload speed.
That’s why most internet users are moving towards the Connection of Broadband. And it is very profitable to all those people who are working in the tech field, Gaming Field, Health-Care Community, Developers, and many more people.
Types of Broadband Connection
There are many options to access Broadband for daily use. Here is a list of options.
- DSL (Digital Subscriber Line)
- Fiber Optics
DSL (Digital Subscriber Line)
DSL means Digital Subscriber Line, and it’s one of the many technologies used to provide high speed and high bandwidth internet via telephone network.
Optical fiber is generally used for making cables (fiber optic cables). And it gives high bandwidth up-to 100 Mbps to 2 GBps. It is made up of pure glass or core It transmit signals using light. And it is handle lots of data, request which are receive from users.
Wireless connection is basically used for access internet using wireless technology (Via Wireless Router) And it gives high bandwidth up-to 100 Mbps to 2 GBps and speed depends on rang of wireless router.
Cable internet connection is used for access internet using cable technology (Via Wlan Cable) and it gives high bandwidth up-to 100 Mbps to 1.25 Gbps and it’s depend on quality of Wlan cable. And there are many types of Wlan cable available in the market.
Satellite internet connection is used for access internet using satellite (Via Communication Satellites) and it gives very high bandwidth up-to 1000 Mbps to 1000 Gbps. And it’s too costly according their bandwidth.
